Rapsody ft. Phonte & Jay Electronica—Jedi Code

With so much winning on one track, let’s start off by saying that 9th Wonder may be the only producer in the Hip-Hop world to take a yodeling sample and make it sound good. And—as those familiar with Hip-Hop know—sometimes all you need is a good beat to have a good song. However, what we have here is a pretty damn good song and the qualifiers are gained as a result of the verses delivered by Phonte, Rapsody, and Jay Electronica, respectively. Without going into too much detail of each rapper’s verse, Phonte does an excellent job of opening up the track and setting the tone for Rapsody and Jay Electronica to follow. “Jedi Code” comes from Rapsody’s mixtape She Got Game which was released today (August 20) and is hosted by DJ Drama. So, apparently, you won’t find this track on Big Sean’s forthcoming album Hall of Fame, which is scheduled to be released on August 27, 2013.
