There’s a new wave of producers coming from the Los Angeles record label Soulection which has previously introduced the world to artists such as Sango and Atu. The release of Dpat’s “Bloom” is just the latest addition to Soulection’s repertoire. From Houston, Texas, Dpat’s musical tendencies are similar to that of his record label counterparts, yet different enough to distinguish him from them. This is no way deters him from collaborating with his label mates as he did with Sango on “Above Us.” “Bloom”, however, is just a little more edgy with its undecipherable vocals and the complimenting visuals (directed by J. Vash) that really help to underscore the eerie nature of the track. Check out “Bloom” above and if it leaves you wanting more feel free to listen to or download “Above Us” below.
