Lost Midas—Memory Flux

Lost Midas might be new to the game, but he offers something fully matured and ready to be consumed. Categorized under Electrofusion, music by the Los Angeles based producer can best be likened to that being released from record labels such as Brainfeeder. Whereas “Broken Peace Is” sounds like a track off of Until The Quiet Comes, his lead single, “Love Undone,” comes off as something reminiscent of Thundercat’s Apocalypse. Both tracks come Lost Midas’ album Memory Flux which is set to be released on September 2. Below, you can listen to “Love Undone” featuring Taylor O’Donnell courtesy of Lost Midas’ Bandcamp page. However, if you’ll want to hear any more, you’ll have to shell out $3 and wait until the release date. Lucky for you, Rhizome has just the link you need to hear “Broken Peace Is”, which, trust me, you’ll want to listen to. As good as the three-track EP may end up turning out, it seems fair to say that it’ll most likely leave listeners wanting more, but at least it’ll give you another producer to put on your radar for the future.
