Big Sean ft. Kendrick Lamar & Jay Electronica—Control (HOF)

So, apparently, you won’t find this track on Big Sean’s forthcoming album Hall of Fame, which is scheduled to be released on August 27, 2013. According to reports, it wasn’t given sample clearance and was thus cut from the album. Either that or Big Sean’s verse simply didn’t meet label expectations and according to recent Joey Bada$$ tweets, I’m not the only one who feels this way. However, that’s not the only controversial issue regarding this seven minute track which is oddly reminiscent of A$AP Rocky’s “1 Train”—just with a lot fewer rappers. Some have interpreted other tweets by Joey Bada$$ to be criticizing Kendrick Lamar for declaring himself the King of New York on this track. Whatever the case may be, it’s undeniable that “Control” is stirring up a lot of people—see what all the buzz is about on the link below.
